We will begin our English this term by exploring the features of an adventure story. We will then read our class book and utilise it to innovate our own short stories with a focus on character and setting description.
In Maths this term, we will be covering place value, addition and subtraction and multiplication and division. In place value, we will be learning how to partition numbers into thousands, hundreds, tens and ones to then progress onto using this knowledge to problem solve.
Our topic this term is geography. We will be learning all about natural disasters with focusses on identifying extreme weather, volcanic activity and earthquakes. We will also research how such disasters are dealt with and the provisions that are in place to help.
Our next science topic this term is light. We will be investigating reflections, the sun and shadows. Along with searching for patterns in the way that shadows change size.
